Shinto-ryu Reiken no Maki

Name: Shinto-ryu Reiken no Maki 神道流兵法霊剣巻

Description: Shinto-ryu Reiken no Maki 神道流兵法㚑剣巻 and issued by Ochiai Ryozo Yasuhira in the 11h year of the era Bunsei (1828) deals with esoteric practices, in particular the use of the kuji and the corresponding mudra (hand signs) for use as a protection or cleansing procedure. This document is of particular interest as it includes not only the drawings of the hand positions as well as the related spells, but also a description of the reiken practice itself, including the design of the altar dedicated to Marishiten, necessary items and finally the actual execution of the ceremony.
